The name

The product is Navzeno. One word, capital N, the rest lower case — never NavZeno, navZeno or Nav Zeno. It is a proper noun, so it keeps its capital mid- sentence and does not take an article: "Navzeno routes offline", not "the Navzeno".

Pronounced nav-ZEE-no — stress on the middle syllable. The wordmark is set in lower case as a piece of lettering; that is a design choice and does not change how the name is written in prose.

Boilerplate

One line

Navzeno is an offline navigator for Canadian road trips, cottage country and the backcountry: download a province once, then search, route and navigate with no signal.

One paragraph

Navzeno is an offline navigation app for Canada. One province downloads as a single file over Wi-Fi; after that the map drawing, the place search, the routing and the spoken turn-by-turn all run on the device with the network off — not cached tiles, the whole region. It is built on OpenStreetMap data with a purpose-built map engine, runs on iOS, macOS and Linux from one shared core, with Android in development, and needs no account: no sign-in, no telemetry, and no location data ever leaves the phone. Navzeno has not been released yet, and starts with Ontario — cottage country, the northern highways and the parks — before the rest of Canada.

Logo

The mark is an N whose diagonal is a route line ending in a location dot. Use the lockup unless space forbids it; the mark alone works below about 120 px wide. The one-colour version takes the colour of whatever it sits on, so it can go white on a photograph.

Downloads

The PNG number is the image width in pixels; the mark is square, so 512 means 512 × 512. Every file has a transparent background. README.txt repeats these notes alongside the files.

What not to do

Facts

What it is: An offline map and navigation app.
Platforms: iOS, macOS and Linux, from one shared core. Android is in development.
Status: Not released yet — no store listing on any platform. Ontario is the first region; the catalogue lists the rest.
How offline works: One region downloads as a single file. Rendering, search, routing and turn-by-turn then run entirely on the device.
Map engine: Our own — renderer, router and search index, written for the offline format.
Accounts: None. No sign-in, no telemetry, no location data leaves the device.
Based in: Canada.
